Ada sebuah konvensi di dalam industri Video,Film dan Televisi yang telah di sepakati  untuk menentukan nama dan bentuk tipe-tipe shot
Tipe tipe shot ini biasa juga disbut dengan istilah Frame Cutting Point 
Jenis-jenis Tipe Shot  tersebut antara lain:
EWS (Extreme Wide Shot)

VWS (Very Wide Shot)

WS (Wide Shot)/LS (Long Shot)

MS (Mid Shot)

MCU (Medium Close Up)

CU (Close Up)

ECU (Extreme Close Up)

Two-Shot

(OSS) Over-the-Shoulder Shot
